Tiny Tower Game Review
Engaging, unassuming, and innocent – these
qualities make the Tiny Tower a catchy and brilliant game.
Another good thing about this app is that it
comes for free; well, with optional in-game purchases on the side. Tiny Tower was released in 2011,
when it also acquired the iPhone App of the Year award from Apple and average rating of 4.5
stars.
Gameplay
Playing Tiny Tower is incredibly easy – you
don’t need a certain strategy or skill in order to progress and advance to the higher
levels. As long as you open the app, you’ll eventually
move forward, without having to achieve any goal except to keep on building
towers.
To do so, you’ll just need to give your Bitizens
a place of assignment and they’ll do the job for
you.
As the game starts, you’ll be welcomed by a
newly built tower and a plain lobby.
Along with the game tutorials, you’ll have to
build your first residential and production floor, place a Bitizen on that floor, and assign
a job to each of them.
The
Bitizen will then work to build items to sell in order for you to earn coins. You
can use these coins to build as many floors as you want, depending on how high you like your
tower to become.
On each floor, there are 3 items to stock and
each of them has their individual timer. Once an item’s stock are sold out, you’ll have to
command your Bitizens to get more, which takes around a few minutes to an hour or so,
depending on the item you wish to order. When the timer runs out, you’ll also need to request
them and put the items on sale again.
Features
Tiny Tower features a local notification on your
device that lets you know immediately when an item needs restocking even after you’ve closed
the app.
This helps you stay on track on the latest
developments within your tower, which can be turned off anytime you
want.
However, each time you check in on the app,
there are always loads of things to do. So if you are mostly idle and you want something
enjoyable to do during your idle times, then Tiny Tower is the best way to
go.
The main source of money on Tiny Tower is the
stock sales on commercial floors. These floors offer a wide array of services and products
including Retail, Service, Recreation, and Food.
All floors may sell items for only 1 to 3 coins
each, but fortunately, they are allowed to contain varying quantities at different time and
coin costs.
And of course, the
Bitizens – the most important element and major force of the Tiny Tower game. All of them
live on apartments, work on commercial floors, and post on the tower’s Bitbook. Each of them
has a birthday and every time this occasion comes, the player will be awarded with one Tower
Bux.
On this era of RPG and other encouraging game
genres, Tiny Tower makes a fresh and wonderful entertainment for mobile gamers of this age.
Through its great graphics, presentation, gameplay, and style, this game lets you build a
tower that you’ll love to move into in real life.
